You can remove any highlight by clicking the × button on its card in the right panel. To change a highlight's color, select the highlighted text again and pick a new color — the old highlight will be replaced. You can also use the Clear All button to remove every highlight at once.

Yes! Every highlight card in the right panel includes a small text field where you can type a note or annotation. Your notes are included when you export highlights as JSON or CSV, making this a great tool for research and study.

You can export your collected highlights in JSON (includes text, color, and notes), CSV (spreadsheet-ready), or plain text (one highlight per line). Use the export buttons in the toolbar. You can also click Copy All to copy all highlighted text to your clipboard instantly.

No. All text processing happens entirely in your browser. Your text and highlights are never uploaded to any server. This tool works fully offline once the page is loaded. Your privacy is completely protected — nothing leaves your device.

If you select text that overlaps with an existing highlight, the old highlight will be automatically removed and replaced with your new color selection. This prevents nested or conflicting highlights and keeps your annotations clean.
