📚 Frequently Asked Questions

This tool uses the HTML5 Canvas API to render watermarks directly onto your images inside the browser. No images are ever uploaded to any server — everything happens locally on your device. You upload images, customize the watermark text and style, preview the result in real-time, and download the watermarked versions.

Absolutely safe. This is a 100% client-side tool. Your images never leave your device. All image processing — loading, rendering watermarks, and generating downloadable files — is performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API. You can even disconnect your internet after the page loads and the tool will continue working.

The tool supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, and GIF (static first frame for GIF). Output can be either PNG (lossless, recommended for quality) or JPEG (smaller file size, adjustable quality). For transparent PNGs, we recommend keeping the PNG output format to preserve transparency.

Yes! Upload multiple images simultaneously (drag & drop or multi-select in the file browser). All images share the same watermark settings. You can then download all watermarked images as a ZIP archive with one click, or download individual images from their respective thumbnail cards.

Select "Tiled / Repeat" from the Position dropdown. This places the watermark text in a grid pattern across the entire image — ideal for strong copyright protection. You can adjust the Tile Spacing slider to control how densely the watermarks appear. A rotation angle of 30–45° combined with tiling creates a classic security watermark effect.

For a professional look: use 30–60px font size with 30–50% opacity for subtle branding. For strong copyright protection: use 60–100px with tiled placement and 50–70% opacity. The Impact font at 40–60px with 40% opacity is a popular choice among photographers. Always preview to find the right balance between visibility and aesthetics for your specific image.

When using PNG output, the original image quality is fully preserved (lossless). The watermark text is simply overlaid. When using JPEG output, there is minimal quality loss due to re-compression — you can set the JPEG quality slider to 90–100% for near-lossless results. For archival purposes, we recommend PNG output.

Yes! Once the page is loaded, the entire tool works offline. All image processing is done locally via JavaScript. The only exception is the JSZip library for batch ZIP downloads, which loads from CDN on first use. After that, even batch downloads work without internet.
