This tool reads the image you upload, scans for QR code patterns directly in your browser using the jsQR library. No image data is ever transferred over the internet – everything stays on your device, ensuring privacy and speed.

Commonly supported formats include PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, and WebP. For best results, use a clear, well-lit image where the QR code is not distorted or heavily angled.

Decoding may fail if the QR code is partially cut off, too blurry, overexposed, or placed at a very sharp angle. Try cropping the image tightly around the code or using a higher resolution version. Some QR codes contain proprietary or encrypted data that cannot be read without the corresponding app.

Absolutely not. The entire process runs locally in your browser. We don't upload, save, or share any image or decoded data. You can even disconnect from the internet after loading this page and it will still work.

This tool is optimized for QR codes (Quick Response codes). It will not decode traditional 1D barcodes, Data Matrix, or other formats. If you need barcode scanning, consider a dedicated barcode reader.
