A car battery group size is a standardized code assigned by the Battery Council International (BCI) that defines the physical dimensions, terminal placement, and terminal type of a battery. This ensures that the battery fits correctly in your vehicle's battery tray and connects properly to the cables. Common group sizes include 24, 35, 48 (H6), 49 (H8), 65, and 94R (H7).

"F" (Flat/Forward): Indicates the positive terminal is on the left side when facing the battery from the front. Group 24F and 27F are common examples used in many Japanese vehicles.

"R" (Reverse): Indicates the positive terminal is on the right side. Group 34R, 51R, and 94R are examples. Using the wrong terminal orientation can prevent your battery cables from reaching the terminals safely.

It is strongly recommended to use the manufacturer-specified group size. Using a different size may result in:
