Frequently Asked Questions

A Batch QR Code Generator allows you to create multiple QR codes simultaneously from a list of URLs, texts, or other data — rather than generating them one by one. This saves significant time when you need QR codes for many items, such as product pages, event invitations, contact cards, or Wi-Fi credentials.

Step 1: Paste or type your data into the text area — one item per line (URLs, plain text, phone numbers, emails, etc.).
Step 2: Customize your QR codes: choose size, color, background, error correction level, margin, and format (PNG or SVG).
Step 3: Click "Generate QR Codes" to preview all codes in the grid.
Step 4: Download individual codes using the button on each card, or click "Download All" to save them all at once.

There is no hard limit — you can generate hundreds of QR codes in a single batch. However, for optimal performance, we recommend batches of up to 100–200 QR codes at a time. The preview grid adapts responsively, showing 2–5 columns depending on your screen size.

Error correction allows a QR code to be scanned even if part of it is damaged or obscured. The four levels are:
L (Low) — ~7% recovery: Best for clean, high-contrast environments. Smallest code size.
M (Medium) — ~15% recovery: Good balance for most use cases. (Recommended default)
Q (Quartile) — ~25% recovery: Suitable for codes that may get slightly dirty or worn.
H (High) — ~30% recovery: Maximum durability. Ideal for outdoor signage or rough handling. Produces denser codes.

QR codes can store a wide variety of data types:
URLs (e.g., https://example.com)
Plain text (up to ~4,296 alphanumeric characters)
Email addresses (use mailto: prefix for auto-compose)
Phone numbers (use tel: prefix for click-to-call)
SMS messages (use sms: prefix)
Wi-Fi credentials (WIFI:S:SSID;T:WPA;P:password;;)
vCard / contact info
Geolocation coordinates

QR codes are generated using the QRServer API — a widely trusted, free service. The data you enter is sent over HTTPS to generate the QR image. For general use, this is safe and reliable. If you are encoding highly sensitive or confidential information, we recommend using an offline QR generator tool instead. No data is stored on our servers.

PNG: Best for general use — digital displays, social media, email signatures, and quick sharing. Raster format, fixed resolution.
SVG: Best for print materials — business cards, flyers, billboards, merchandise. Vector format, infinitely scalable without quality loss. Also editable in design software like Illustrator or Inkscape.
Tip: Choose SVG for professional printing; PNG for everyday digital use.

Yes! You can fully customize both the foreground (code) color and the background color. Choose from preset colors or use the color picker for any custom shade. Important tip: Ensure sufficient contrast between foreground and background for reliable scanning. Dark foreground on light background works best.

🔹 Maintain high contrast between the code and background.
🔹 Include a quiet zone (white margin) around the QR code — our default 4px margin works well for digital use; increase for print.
🔹 For print, use at least 2×2 cm (0.8×0.8 inches) physical size.
🔹 Test your QR codes with multiple devices (iOS & Android) before finalizing.
🔹 Use SVG format for large-format printing to avoid pixelation.
