A Bill Tracker is a visual calendar tool that helps you monitor all your recurring and one-time bills in one place. It displays your bills on a monthly calendar, color-coded by category (rent, utilities, subscriptions, etc.), so you can see exactly when each bill is due. You can add bills, mark them as paid, and track overdue payments at a glance. All data is stored locally in your browser for privacy.

Yes! All your bill information is stored locally using your browser's localStorage. This means your data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server. Only you have access to it. However, clearing your browser data will remove saved bills, so we recommend occasionally exporting important information.

When adding a new bill, simply check the "Recurring Monthly" checkbox. This will make the bill appear automatically on the same day each month. You can mark each month's occurrence as paid independently. Perfect for subscriptions like Netflix, rent, car payments, or any bill that repeats monthly.

The tracker automatically compares each bill's due date with today's date. If a bill's due date has passed and it hasn't been marked as paid, it will be flagged as "Overdue" with a red indicator. For recurring bills, the system checks whether the current month's occurrence has been paid. Overdue bills are highlighted in the stats panel and on the calendar for quick identification.

Absolutely! Click on any bill in the detail panel or on the calendar to view its full information. From there, you can edit the bill details (name, amount, category, date) or delete it entirely. For recurring bills, editing affects all future occurrences, while past paid months remain unchanged. Deleting a recurring bill removes it completely including all payment history.

The tracker includes 7 preset categories: Rent/Mortgage (red), Utilities (orange), Credit Card (blue), Loan (purple), Subscription (green), Insurance (teal), and Other (gray). Each category has a distinct color for easy visual identification on the calendar. Choose the category that best fits your bill when adding or editing it.
