Absolutely. All recording, processing, and playback happens entirely within your browser. No audio data is ever uploaded to any server. Your recordings stay on your device until you choose to download or delete them. Refreshing the page clears all data.

The recorder works on all modern browsers including Chrome (desktop & Android), Firefox, Edge, Opera, and Safari (iOS 14.5+ / macOS). Safari may record in MP4/AAC format instead of WebM. The tool automatically detects the best format for your browser.

You can download recordings in two formats: WebM (smaller file size, great for sharing and web use) and WAV (uncompressed, lossless quality — ideal for editing or archiving). WAV conversion happens automatically after each recording.

Once the page loads, the recorder works fully offline. Recording, playback, and format conversion all run locally. No internet is needed — perfect for quick memos on the go.

Make sure your browser has permission to access the microphone. Look for a microphone icon in the address bar. Also ensure you're on a secure connection (HTTPS) — most browsers require HTTPS for microphone access. On mobile, check your device's privacy settings.

There's no hard limit on recording duration. However, very long recordings (30+ minutes) may use significant memory. For best performance, we recommend keeping individual memos under 15–20 minutes. You can always start a new recording.

Yes! The tool is fully responsive and works great on smartphones and tablets. On iOS, use Safari 14.5+. On Android, Chrome works best. The interface adapts to smaller screens for easy one-tap recording.
